A career inside a physician-led platform looks materially different from a career inside a PE-owned multi-specialty group on three dimensions: clinical autonomy is structurally protected by physician-led governance, equity participation is at the platform level (not just the practice), and the operational support stack lets physicians and operators spend most of their time on the work that compounds (clinical excellence, partnership, brand-building) rather than on back-office firefighting.
Healthcare careers, especially in the multi-specialty platform world, have had a quiet quality problem for the last decade.
